Ice Cream for Breakfast
Who says you can't have ice cream for breakfast? I recently got a Ninja Creami, and we were super excited to try making our own healthy ice cream. We want to stay healthy and still satisfy our sweet tooth, so we came up with a recipe using yogurt and protein powder. Not only did it taste delicious, but we also realized how easy it is to make and customize to our liking. We have been working out on a regular basis too - But if we're being honest, our gym membership is mostly for the pecan-flavored coffee they serve. Yes, we do work out, but we go for the coffee more than the actual exercises. Back to our ice cream breakfast.
We used plain Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, and a few drops of vanilla extract to make our ice cream base. We also added some toppings like fresh berries and honey. The result was a creamy and dreamy bowl of goodness.
We decided that our homemade ice cream was a healthy breakfast option. Because Greek yogurt is high in protein and calcium, while almond milk is low in calories and sugar. We added a scoop of protein powder to boost the protein content even further, making it a filling breakfast option that kept us satisfied until lunchtime.
As for the coffee we were raving about earlier, it turns out that drinking caffeine before working out can actually enhance your performance. So, if you're like us, and you need a little boost before hitting the gym, go ahead and indulge in a cup of coffee or two.
Having ice cream for breakfast doesn't have to be unhealthy or guilt-inducing. We made our own healthy and customized ice cream in minutes. We can stay healthy while still satisfying our sweet tooth. And if you're like us and need a little motivation to workout, find that gym with the best coffee and enjoy a cup before hitting the treadmill. Happy ice cream breakfast!
