My Experience at the Women's Summer Splash
Attending the Women's Summer Splash, hosted by Milestone Church, was something I had been eagerly looking forward to for weeks. A bunch of my friends also came although unfortunately, Lise and Ginger couldn't make it. Nevertheless, my excitement did not wane, and I was determined to make it a fantastic experience. After all, the event was a church gathering for women, and I believed it would be a great avenue to connect and learn from other women.
Sitting there among hundreds of women, listening to the heart-touching message by Lisa Harper, was the highlight of my day. She talked about the woman who'd been bent over for years and how Jesus healed her despite being a social outcast. It was an uplifting reminder that God loves us all, no matter what our background is. As someone who's had my fair share of struggles in life, I could relate to the woman in the story, and I also asked Jesus to come closer and help me stand up straight.
After the message, we sang along with touching music, and I found myself tearing up. I wasn't the only one, though, as I noticed several women wiping their eyes as well. The atmosphere was one of love and acceptance, and we all felt it.
The decorations at the event were so stunning that I couldn't resist snapping some pictures with my friends. We were dressed in beautiful outfits and had fun posing with the decorations. The photo attached was in the bounce house they had set up! It was a moment to treasure, and I know we'll always smile each time we remember that day.
To cap it off, we ended the night by stopping by the food trucks and having a great time laughing and hugging each other. It was a perfect way to end the day, and I felt like I had made some new friends.
Attending the Women's Summer Splash was such a delightful experience, and I'm glad I didn't let anything stop me from going. It was a reminder that sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zones to experience new things. As I left the event, I felt refreshed and hopeful, with a deeper appreciation of God's love for me and every woman in attendance. I plan to attend next year's event and also invite my friends for another amazing experience.
